The Meeks Family

Nancy, Jon and the kids came to stay with us for over a week!  We had so much fun going to the 4th of July Parade; doing fireworks; going swimming, to the Family Museum and to the John Deere Head Quarters!  Aunt Joann, Uncle Rick and Pop-pop Karl were here this week to and we visited with them a lot.  We miss them all tons and can’t wait to see them again. William played with his Play-Doh today and then rode around the yard on his Buzz Lightyear 4 Wheeler.

We celebrated Father’s Day today at home and with Nana and Pop-pop. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed visiting and eating a wonderful meal. Yum!

William and I went to the Quad City Air Show this morning.  Glad we went as early as we did.  We had no trouble getting in and our parking place was up close and on the end of a row!  By the time we left, they were lined up into Eldridge trying to get in the place – and we were the only car on the way out!

We played on the deck this afternoon and watched some of the air show.  The trees are getting so big around our neighborhood that we can’t see as much as we used to be able to from our deck.  However, the Blue Angels still make a spectacular pass by a few times!  Scared Will so much he crawled under his picnic table to pray!

We spent a week in Vincennes and had a lot of fun.  We went swimming, riding on the 4 wheelers and in the trailer and shot a few rounds as well.  We had a fun time visiting with everyone.  Now Mackenzie is spending the next three weeks of her summer break in Vincennes – more swimming, softball and fun!
