Legos!!!
William and I spent 2 hours and 15 minutes this morning putting together his new Star Wars Lego set (ages 8-14!). He followed the directions and kept his attention for the entire time! For 380 pieces!

Merry Christmas, everyone! We had a wonderful morning and are looking forward to spending the day enjoying the company of family and friends.

William received a compliment during the parade! Blake’s grandmother told me that William was the only child who said, “Thank You,” for the treats! When I mentioned this to William he said, “That must be why I got a piece of money in my treats!” (one of the treat bags included a whole quarter!).
This week I worked from Monterrey, Mexico! I enjoyed my time there – the people are wonderful, the mountains are beautiful, and the office was brand new!
The kids enjoyed playing a lot of Ball Tag this week whenever we were at Nana & Pop-pop’s house. They have a lot of good hiding places and obstacles to play around – the kids had a blast.
The Family Museum was our destination today. There were a ton of people there since it was the last Funday Monday of the summer – admission was $1! The kids were all over the place and moving very quickly, so the only one I kept up with was Will!
Today we went to Splash Landing in Bettendorf for a fun afternoon of swimming and sliding. The kids all had a wonderful time – William even went down the kid’s slide by himself several times. After swimming we all went out to dinner at Azteca.
Today a bunch of us went to Maquoketa Caves for a hike. The kids all loved the caves and it was a perfect day for a hike – no humidity, mid to upper 70’s, and beautiful sunshine. After the caves we all came back to the house for a cookout and (belated) birthday celebration for […]
